When people ask him: “If only we have a dervish lodge...”, Hz. Mevlânâ replied: “The world is a dervish lodge.” When they asked: “Who will enlighten us?” he said: “For that, you have Masnavî.”

Everything that happens in life presents a lesson to us; as long as we can see. As long us we learn how to see things from the right perspective, study hard on the teachings of that lesson and make our lives easy with the learnings.
Some people take the Mevlevî path for a philosophy, but it's not. It is a journey of the soul. It is a path to find knowledge on how to balance the inner and outer aspects of our lives. That balance carries us further. It is what we learn from Hz. Mevlânâ's teachings in the Mathnawi and his other works.

Our family works to be of service, following the path that Hz. Pîr set for us. Neither our ancestors, nor our father, or we held back from serving others. Since we were born into this family, we must keep this culture alive, up-to-date, and pass it on to future generations...

Esin Çelebi, 22nd generation granddaughter of Hazrat Mevla^na^ Cela^leddi^n-i Rûmî (Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi), was born in Aleppo on April 2, 1949. She is a graduate of Istanbul Işık High School, having completed her primary, secondary and high school education there. Afterwards, she studied Arabic and Persian Philology at Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature. Esin Çelebi has been serving as the vice-chairperson of the International Mevla^na^ Foundation since its establishment in 1996. During this period, the Foundation has developed two key projects -among its other major initiatives- and worked with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for submission of these works to UNESCO. As a result, UNESCO proclaimed “Sema^ and the Mevlevi^ Music” as “an oral and intangible cultural heritage of humanity”, declared 2007 to be the International Year of Mevla^na^, and accredited the Foundation. Esin Çelebi also acts as a counselor to the Rumi Research and Implementation Center at Konya University. She is the editor of three published books, namely “Hz. Mevla^na^ Okyanusundan” (From Hz. Mevla^na^'s Ocean), featuring the conference and symposium proceedings of her father Cela^leddin Ba^kır C¸elebi, “Yüzyıllar Boyu Mevlânâ ve Mevlevîlik Mevla^na^ and Mevlevi^ Order Throughout Centuries” (bi-lingual Turkish - English book), written by scholars in the field for an in-depth coverage of the Mevlevi^ discipline, etiquette and rules of conduct (a^dap and erka^n), sema^, and sema^ music, “Mevlânâ'dan Mevlâ'ya ulaşanlar” (Those Who Reach from Mevla^na^ to Mawla), on the foreign Mevlevi^s who live abroad. And she has various published articles and interviews in several periodicals. Esin Çelebi participates in local and international TV broadcasts as a speaker; she also gives public speeches at various local and international schools and universities. She continues her efforts to pass on Mevla^na^'s universal thought and discipline, his exemplary lifestyle and the Mevlevi^ culture as a path of etiquette, correct behavior (a^dap). She received in May 2011 an honorary PhD from the Berkeley California Starr King School for The Ministry in the United States, in recognition for her works and contributions in the topic of “World Peace, Justice and Unity”. Esin Çelebi is married with two children.
